EDI Support Analyst
Location: NY City
Contract
1. EDI Operations Support
Monitor daily EDI transactions (inbound/outbound) such as Purchase Orders (850), Invoices (810), Advanced Shipping Notices (856), and regulatory reports.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve EDI transmission errors, failed transactions, and mapping issues.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all EDI communications.
2. Partner & System Integration
Support onboarding of new trading partners (suppliers, distributors, regulatory bodies).
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate EDI with SAP ERP, SAP ATTP, or other pharma applications.
Maintain mapping configurations for ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and other standards.
3. Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations such as FDA DSCSA, EU FMD, and global serialization mandates.
Support EDI-related data submissions to government and regulatory authorities.
Maintain documentation and audit logs as required by GxP and validation standards.
4. Incident & Change Management
Provide Level 2/3 support for EDI incidents, escalating complex issues to vendors or senior IT staff.
Participate in change requests, testing, and implementation of new EDI transactions or enhancements.
Document solutions and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Generate EDI operational reports and KPIs (error rates, transaction volumes, turnaround times).
Identify recurring issues and work on process and system improvements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain IT systems.
Key Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, Flat Files).
Strong knowledge of EDI mapping, translation tools, and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, VAN, API).
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP ECC / S4HANA) and integration with EDI.
Understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain processes, including serialization and compliance.
Experience in troubleshooting, monitoring, and supporting EDI transactions in a production environment.
Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements (DSCSA, FMD, ANVISA, etc
