Job Title: QA Automation Engineer (Hammer/IVR)

Pay Rate: $55/hr C2C

Job Summary
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer specialized in IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and Conversational AI testing for a long-term contract at Aetna. This role focuses on the quality assurance of voice-based and chat-based virtual assistants using industry-standard tools like Hammer On Demand and Cyara. You will design and enhance scalable automation frameworks while integrating modern AI-driven tools and Agentic IDEs to optimize testing cycles. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in Java/OOPs, experience in the healthcare domain (HIPAA), and a deep understanding of evaluating AI models for accuracy and precision.
Technical Core & Responsibilities
IVR & Conversational AI Testing
Specialized Tooling: Conduct hands-on testing using Cyara and Hammer On Demand to simulate voice interactions and validate IVR call flows.
Virtual Assistant QA: Test multi-channel (voice and chat) virtual assistants, ensuring seamless natural language processing and intent recognition.
AI Metrics: Evaluate AI model performance using key metrics such as Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-score.
Automation Frameworks & Development
Selenium Mastery: Implement and scale UI automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver integrated with Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Backend & API Testing: Perform robust backend testing, including REST/SOAP API automation and database validation.
Modern Tooling: Utilize AI-powered development environments (e.g., Windsurf, Cursor) to accelerate the creation and maintenance of test scripts.
Process & Compliance
Agile/CI/CD: Drive quality within Agile squads, integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines using Git and version control.
Healthcare Workflow: Ensure all testing processes align with HIPAA compliance and healthcare-specific business logic.
Testing Types: Lead Functional, Regression, Integration, and Performance testing efforts to ensure end-to-end reliability.
Top 3 Required Skills
IVR Automation Platforms: Expert-level proficiency in Cyara and/or Hammer On Demand.
Selenium WebDriver: Strong experience building and maintaining Java-based automation frameworks.
Conversational AI: Hands-on experience testing multi-channel voice/chat virtual assistants or agentic AI solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS, GCP, or IBM Cloud.
Familiarity with Agentic IDEs for optimized script development.
Strong understanding of TDD and BDD (Cucumber) methodologies.
