Senior Java Developer

Role Overview 

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in cloud-native application development and deployment within the Azure ecosystem. 

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with containerization, orchestration, API management, distributed messaging systems, and caching technologies. 

Experience in the Brokerage/Capital Markets domain will be an added advantage. 

1. Project Overview

•              The opportunity is for a Greenfield Project involving development from scratch.

•              The selected candidate is expected to:

o             Build the application from the ground up

o             Lead the project technically

o             Handle architecture responsibilities

o             Work directly with onsite stakeholders and customers

o             This is not a maintenance or support role.

2. Experience Expectations

•              Although the JD mentions 8+ years, the expectation is:

o             Minimum 10+ years preferred

o             Ideally 12+ years of strong hands-on Java experience

•              Candidate should have:

o             Consistent experience in Java technologies

o             Strong background in Java Microservices

o             No mixed career path involving .NET, Testing, Python, etc., before moving into Java

3. Mandatory Technical Skills

Required Experience 

•10+ years of experience in Java application development 

•Strong experience in designing and developing scalable enterprise applications 

•Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments 

Must Have Technical Skills 

•Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture 

•Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes 

•Strong exposure to Azure Cloud Ecosystem 

•Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) 

•Experience with Azure API Management (APIM) 

•Experience with Azure PubSub / Messaging Services 

•Strong knowledge of Redis Caching 

•Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architecture 

•Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 

•Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, or similar tools
