Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Backend/API Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs deployed in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and manage Microservices-based architectures with high availability and fault tolerance.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend applications and third-party services.
Design and optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and security.
Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on GCP.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate cloud deployments.
Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Optimize database interactions and data processing.
Implement caching, logging, and monitoring solutions.
Follow coding best practices, participate in code reviews, and develop automated tests.
Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability.
Required Skills
3–7+ years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, and Pub/Sub.
Strong understanding of cloud-native application development.
Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
Proficiency with MySQL/PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases.
Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, and system design.
Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and API security.
Experience with Kafka and/or Pub/Sub.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Docker and Kubernetes experience.
Exposure to event-driven architecture and reactive programming.
Knowledge of API Gateway and service mesh concepts.
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.
Familiarity with GraphQL.
Experience with backend performance tuning and optimization.
