Required Skills:

Configuration Management:
Develop and maintain configuration management plans and procedures.
Manage and control software versions, releases, and baselines.
Implement and enforce configuration management policies and standards.
Deployment and Installation:
Plan and execute software deployments and installations.
Coordinate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure successful deployments.
Provide technical support and guidance during the installation process.
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
Diagnose and resolve software-related issues and problems.
Investigate and analyze incidents to identify root causes.
Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid future issues.
Change Management: MUST be hands on
Evaluate and assess the impact of proposed changes to software configurations.
Coordinate change requests and approvals.
Implement change management processes and procedures.
Documentation and Reporting: MUST be hands on
Create and maintain detailed documentation of software configurations and processes.
Prepare and submit reports on software configuration status and activities.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Implement best practices and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and configuration management principles.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash).
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with automation and orchestration tools.
Certifications in configuration management or ITIL
