Position: Integration Architect – Pharmacy
Location: Dublin, OH (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ months contract
Job Description:
The Architect will lead design and solution architecture for the Pharmacy Systems ecosystem within Commercial Technologies—spanning GuardianRX, customized Salesforce, Azure Logic Apps middleware, API based services, and multiple hybrid systems. The role partners with product, engineering, risk/security, and vendor teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable architectures that enable patient access, coordination services, clinical data workflows, eRx, drug fulfilment, claims, payments, labels/printing, shipping, and operational support.
The ideal candidate blends hands on integration architecture with governance, standards, and end to end systems thinking, and can “connect the dots” across business and technology to drive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and guide implementation of applications, services, and integrations aligned to business objectives and enterprise standards.
- Define reference architectures, integration patterns, and standards; ensure reuse and consistency across teams.
- Lead architecture & design reviews, ensure alignment to target state, resiliency, performance, and security baselines.
- Plan & oversee system implementations ensuring scalability, maintainability, and minimal production impact.
- Provide end to end architectural views across GuardianRX, Salesforce, middleware, APIs, and downstream systems.
- Apply structured problem solving to resolve complex production/system issues, drive RCA and preventive design improvements.
- Partner with Risk/Security to embed controls, privacy, and security best practices into solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering leads, managed service partners, and vendors; provide technical/architectural guidance.
- Translate business goals into technology roadmaps; advise on short- and long-term planning and modernization.
- Define tasks, milestones, and deliverables that satisfy program objectives and architectural KPIs.
- Recommend new practices, models, metrics, and tooling to improve integration quality, standardization, and operability.
- Serve as escalation point for cross functional technical issues requiring architectural oversight.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders; produce high quality architectural documentation.
Required Technical Skills:
- Integration & Middleware: Azure Logic Apps, Azure pipelines; API first design; eventing/async patterns.
- API Management & Tooling: Swagger Hub, APIGEE, Postman; API security, versioning, lifecycle.
- Data & Platforms: TSQL / SQL Server, data modeling for integration, operational analytics.
- Monitoring & Observability: Splunk (dashboards, alerts, log analysis); performance, capacity & stability tuning.
- DevOps & SDLC: CI/CD with Jenkins or Concourse; Azure DevOps; automated testing in pipelines; branch/release strategies.
- Ecosystem Awareness (nice to have direct exposure): GuardianRX, CPerx, Queen City, CMS Word Link, Omnisys, Genesis.
- Foundations: Strong grasp of OS, databases, app servers, cloud, networking basics, and resiliency (HA/DR).
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8–12 years overall experience (preferred) with demonstrable architecture/solution design leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Proven experience translating business objectives into strategic architecture and executable designs.
- Strong leadership & stakeholder management; ability to influence across product, delivery, risk/security, and vendors.
- Clear understanding of industry trends and relevant emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication, architectural documentation, analytical presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
- Healthcare industry exposure.
- Experience in data analytics/data science concepts for operational insights.
- Prior Enterprise Architecture or Solution Architecture experience at program/portfolio scale.
- Salesforce integration patterns; eRx/claims/fulfilment domain familiarity.
Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
