Job Title: Senior Android Engineer

Duration: 6 Months Contract to hire.

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Kotlin, Android Architecture Components, MVVM, and Jetpack Compose and a proven ability to design, build, and optimize performant, secure, and scalable Android applications.
Responsibilities:
Construct, enhance, and troubleshoot native Android applications in an Agile, collaborative environment.
Implement complex new features and functionality across the application stack.
Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and business partners to create robust and functional solutions.
Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, and scalability.
Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
5–7 years of experience building and maintaining large-scale Android applications.
Deep knowledge of Kotlin and Kotlin Coroutines.
Hands-on experience with Android Architecture Components, MVVM, and Jetpack Compose.
Hands-on experience leveraging AI tooling across the software development lifecycle.
Strong object-oriented design and development skills.
Experience with asynchronous programming and concurrency on Android.
Proven experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks.
Track record of productivity in application architecture, design, coding, and debugging.
Experience with enterprise-level branching and merging workflows using Jenkins.
Understanding of mobile performance, latency, and security with experience using performance analysis tools.
Awareness of current technological trends, information security best practices, wireless network architecture, and mobile technologies.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Room, Dagger, and related libraries used in the Android ecosystem.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small development teams.
Open-source contributions or active engagement in the Android developer community.
