About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to serve as the critical bridge between our Credit Card Marketing business teams and technology/engineering partners. You will gather and translate business requirements into functional system specifications, drive platform enhancements, and ensure marketing technology solutions effectively support our credit card portfolio strategies.

 

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field

• 4–6 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in financial services or credit card/payments domain

Strong proficiency in requirements management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps) and process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart)

• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall SDLC methodologies

• Solid understanding of data analysis; ability to write and interpret queries for data validation and mapping

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements from credit card marketing stakeholders, translating complex marketing workflows — including campaign setup, offer configuration, and loyalty program management — into detailed BRDs, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams for technology teams.

• Serve as the primary liaison between credit card marketing and IT/engineering teams, facilitating sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT cycles to ensure marketing platforms (CRM, campaign management tools, decisioning engines) are configured and enhanced to meet evolving business needs.

• Lead system integration analysis and data mapping for credit card marketing platforms such as offer management systems, customer data platforms (CDPs), and digital marketing tools, ensuring accurate data flow across upstream and downstream systems including card processing, rewards, and analytics environments.

• Support the design and implementation of marketing technology solutions by conducting gap analyses, evaluating vendor capabilities, and defining system requirements for tools supporting credit card acquisition, activation, spend stimulation, and retention campaigns.

• Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, including test scripts, defect tracking, and sign-off documentation, to validate that system changes and new feature deployments meet credit card marketing business objectives and compliance requirements.

• Analyze and optimize end-to-end marketing processes — from customer segmentation and offer eligibility rules to campaign fulfillment and reporting pipelines — identifying automation opportunities and system inefficiencies that impact credit card marketing speed-to-market.

• Maintain comprehensive system documentation including data dictionaries, workflow diagrams, system architecture overviews, and integration specs to support ongoing operations, audits, and onboarding of new team members within the credit card marketing technology ecosystem.
