Job Title: Sr Java Developer

Job Description:

·         Design and develop software components based on screen design documents that fit within technical framework as outlined by technical architects.

·         Ensure code meets standards and is tested appropriately to the platform.

·         Provide technical guidance to the development team as required.

·         Be a team player with an ability to own the design and code as per requirements.

·         Communicate status (written and verbal) to project team and management.

·         Continuously look for ways to improve application stability, scalability, and user experience.

·         Address architecture and security and own the team’s approach to technical risks and mitigation.

·         Agile Methodology and Cloud Native Development (Azure preferred).

·         Knowledge of user interface frameworks, Java, and application servers.

·         Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.

·         Knowledge of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Positive, goal-oriented attitude with a focus on delivery.

·         Java, Reactive Programming, Spring Boot, Microservices, and web-based development experience.

·         Must have experience in Spring WebFlux, JPA/ORM, Kafka, JMS, MQ/Solace, Redis, NoSQL, and SQL frameworks.

·         Must have experience using Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker, and API Gateway design patterns for building reliable and scalable applications.

·         Cloud Native Development experience using technologies such as Azure SQL/PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, EventHub, Service Bus, Event Grid, Application Insights, Synapse Analytics, Logic Apps, Container Apps, Container, and Unix.

·         Experience in DevOps CI/CD processes using Gradle, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

·         Experience with JUnit, Spring Test, Spring Boot Test, Postman, SoapUI, AssertJ, Hamcrest, Mockito, JSONassert, and JsonPath.

·         Nice to have experience in MERN stack for developing user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Bootstrap, ReactJS, and Node.js.

·         Financial Domain experience.

·         Good knowledge of Messaging and Event-Driven Architecture.

·         Leadership skills.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

·         Overall 9+ years of industry experience.

·         Experience in Agile development methodology.

·         Experience as a hands-on Senior Java Developer.

·         Experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Azure.

·         Experience in building solutions to complex problems, Java version upgrades, and developing Microservices.

·         Experience in migration from PCF to Azure for Java applications would be preferred.

·         Good communication skills and ability to lead a team of developers in an Onshore-Offshore model.

·         Skills: Digital: Microsoft Azure, Java API Management & Microservices, Digital: Spring Boot.

 

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
