Coding Assessment
We are looking for a mid-level Data Scientist with strong experience in LLMs, agentic AI workflows, and large-scale data analysis to join a high-impact initiative in the healthcare domain.
This role will focus on building an AI-powered Utilization Management (UM) Criteria Analyzer, enabling stakeholders to evaluate the financial and clinical impact of changing medication utilization strategies.
You will work on cutting-edge applications of LLMs, including extracting insights from unstructured clinical data and designing explainable AI systems.
Project Overview
The team is building a decision intelligence platform that:
Compares different Utilization Management (UM) strategies
Quantifies impact of switching from one UM policy to another
Improves forecasting accuracy for underwriting teams
Supports rebate optimization and financial modeling
Enables scenario simulation and βwhat-ifβ analysis
Lays foundation for a client recommendation system
Key capabilities:
UM-to-UM comparison engine
Scenario testing & simulation
AI-driven insights from unstructured clinical notes (CDR data)
Future: natural language interface for business users
Key Responsibilities
Data Science & Modeling
Perform EDA, statistical analysis, and feature engineering on large healthcare datasets
Build and deploy scalable ML models to support forecasting and decision-making
Work with structured + unstructured data (clinical notes, claims, etc.)
LLM & AI Development
Develop LLM-based pipelines to extract:
Metrics
Values
Units
Context from messy/unstructured data
Design prompt engineering strategies for accuracy and consistency
Build explainable AI systems with citations/evidence generation
Evaluate LLM outputs:
Accuracy measurement
Hallucination detection
Iterative improvement
Agentic AI Systems
Design and implement agent-based workflows with:
Multi-step reasoning
Guardrails (confidence scoring, fallback logic)
Decision flows
Platform & Collaboration
Partner with:
Product teams
Underwriting teams
Clinical strategy stakeholders
Translate business problems into data science solutions
Contribute to building a self-service analytics tool
Required Skills
Core Data Science
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
Experience with:
Large datasets
EDA & statistical analysis
Machine learning model development
LLM / AI (Must-Have)
Hands-on experience with:
Large Language Models (LLMs)

Experience building production-level LLM solutions
