Key Responsibilities
Develop content strategies with logical taxonomies, streamlined journeys, and human-centered design.
Manage full content lifecycle: discovery, analysis, creation, delivery, tracking, and governance.
Inventory, audit, and optimize content at enterprise scale; align with business goals and user needs.
Write compelling copy that motivates action; conduct research for original and optimized content.
Support content marketing (ads, social, email); edit/proofread for accuracy and consistency.
Perform keyword research, SEO strategies (technical/on-page), and KPIs to boost SERP and traffic.
Use analytics (e.g., Google Analytics GA4), user feedback, and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to measure success.
Collaborate with SMEs for plain language content; ensure accessibility, compliance, and governance models.
Work agile sprints on product backlogs; document work; maintain confidentiality.
Required Experience (Minimum 3 Years Each)
Website Content Writing:

Modern content for large, multi-department sites with services/apps.
High-level strategies, inventory/audits, copywriting, research, and marketing content.
SEO and Analytics:

Keyword research, SEO best practices, EAT principles, KPIs, and user/site analytics.
Content Lifecycle Governance:

Identify gaps, optimize IA, plain language writing, reviews for accuracy/accessibility/compliance, benefit-focused structure, post-publish maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Website Writing & Content Management:

Sitecore (or similar CMS); content creation/marketing; expert copywriting/editing; SEO/analytics.
Project tools (MS Office, Teams, Jira); strong communication; high emotional intelligence.
High-Functioning in Complex Situations:

Simplify concepts; deadline-driven; multitask with prioritization; suggest strategies/risks; independent/team player.
Team Player:

Support teammates; collaborate across departments; creative/analytical problem-solving; diplomatic judgment; strict confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s in UX, Web Design, Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related.
3+ years full-time website content writing with project goals.
Proficient in Sitecore, digital standards/plain language, chatbots/search consoles/helpdesk.
Content/SEO tools; published portfolio; relevant certification.
1+ year: Salesforce, Google Analytics (GA4), Power BI.
Administrative & Security Details
Agile sprints on website improvements; provide written documentation.
Remote possible (Chief Digital Officer approval); use State virtual desktop on personal device.
Background check, confidentiality agreement, daily sign-in/badge required.
Comply with Privacy Act/HIPAA; sensitive data handling.
