Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer
Location: Merrill Lynch, NJ(Need Locals)
Duration: Contract
Must-have technical skills and responsibilities:
Seeking senior QA Automation engineers with deep experience in designing and building modern test-automation frameworks.
Responsibilities include designing scalable UI, API and database automation solutions, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring release readiness and owning quality across the SDLC.
Required expertise:
• Playwright using TypeScript and/or Python
• Selenium and PyTest
• Strong programming with Python or TypeScript to create reusable framework components
• API automation and validation
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or GitLab
• Parallel test execution, synchronization strategies (waits, polling, retries) and flaky-test analysis/stabilization
• Dynamic data and timestamp handling
• Debugging and problem-solving in complex, asynchronous workflows
• Working in Agile/Scrum with a quality-first mindset.
Nice to have: knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance domain, mainframe testing, and experience with AI-assisted or intelligent automation tools.
Minimum experience required: 10+ years.
