Core Skills & Competencies

Requirements Gathering:
Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand objectives, capture functional and non‑functional requirements, and translate them into detailed data specifications.
Data Analysis Expertise:
Strong analytical mindset with experience exploring datasets, identifying trends, validating data accuracy, detecting anomalies.
Data Mapping & Documentation:
Experience creating source‑to‑target data mappings, identifying transformation logic, documenting business rules, and ensuring accurate flow of data across systems.
Data Model Interpretation:
Ability to read, interpret, and navigate conceptual, logical, and physical data models (ERDs, relational schemas, star/snowflake models). Understands table relationships, primary/foreign keys, cardinality, and normalization concepts.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data across relational databases.
Understanding of data structures, relational models, and metadata.
Ability to work with large datasets and perform data profiling and quality checks.
Basic knowledge of ETL concepts, data pipelines, and data integration workflows.
Experience with Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
