Position: SAP ABAP Developer with Utilities Industry

Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite) – Need Local ONLY

Duration: 12+ months contract

 

 

 

 

 

Job Description:    

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, including RICEFW in complex landscapes.

Domain Knowledge: Proven track record of working within the Utilities Domain.

EAM Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and EAM business processes.

 

Technical Skills:

Advanced Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP).
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, CDS views, and OData/REST services.
Expertise in ABAP performance tuning and debugging.
 

Core Development: Develop and maintain complex ABAP programs, Object-Oriented (OO) ABAP classes, BADIs, BAPIs, and User Exits to enhance standard SAP PM and IS-U functionality.

EAM Specifics: Build custom enhancements for plant maintenance, work order management, equipment tracking, and preventative maintenance processing.

Utilities Specifics: Support utilities processes by developing custom solutions around Device Management, Billing, FICA, and Meter Data Management.

Integrations: Design and implement robust inbound/outbound interfaces to connect SAP with legacy systems, mobile EAM field devices, and SCADA using IDOCs, RFCs, and OData services.

Modernization: Build SAP Fiori applications, Core Data Services (CDS) views, and AMDPs within SAP S/4HANA environments.

Collaboration: Translate functional specifications into technical designs, and collaborate closely with functional consultants to troubleshoot and test system implementations

 

 

 

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
