We are seeking an experienced Senior Jasper Reports Developer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in JasperReports/Jaspersoft development, report design, data integration, SQL, and enterprise reporting solutions. The role requires close collaboration with business analysts, data engineers, application developers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, optimize, and maintain reporting solutions that support critical business and regulatory processes.

Experience in banking, financial services, or capital markets is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Jasper Reports Development

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise reports using JasperReports Studio and Jaspersoft.
Develop pixel-perfect operational, analytical, and regulatory reports.
Create reusable report templates, sub-reports, parameters, charts, crosstabs, and dashboards.
Design complex report layouts using JRXML.
Optimize report performance and improve report execution times.
Report Design & Development

Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop dynamic and parameter-driven reports.
Build scheduled and on-demand reporting solutions.
Develop reusable reporting components and templates.
Troubleshoot report generation issues and implement performance improvements.
SQL & Data Analysis

Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction logic.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality analysis.
Work with multiple relational databases to retrieve and transform data.
Analyze reporting discrepancies and resolve data-related issues.
Support data migration and reporting enhancements.
Integration & Application Support

Integrate Jasper Reports with Java-based enterprise applications.
Develop REST-based reporting integrations where required.
Collaborate with application developers to embed reporting solutions.
Support production deployments and troubleshoot reporting issues.
Participate in release planning and production support activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and business users.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions and solution discussions.
Provide effort estimates and technical recommendations.
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
Required Skills & Experience

8–10 years of software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with JasperReports Studio and Jaspersoft.
Expertise in designing and developing complex JRXML reports.
Strong experience in report optimization and performance tuning.
Advanced SQL skills with experience in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
Experience with Java, JDBC, and report integration within enterprise applications.
Knowledge of REST APIs and report deployment mechanisms.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of ETL and data integration tools.
Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
