Title: Java Developer – Retail Domain
Location: Chicago, IL
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with strong Retail domain experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and modern cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
Work closely with business and product teams to understand Retail domain requirements.
Integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and external APIs.
Troubleshoot application issues and perform performance tuning.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Support production deployments and resolve application defects.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with Core Java, Java 8+, and Spring/Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience with Microservices and REST APIs.
Strong SQL/database experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum.
Strong understanding of software design principles and coding best practices.
Retail domain experience is required.
Preferred Skills:
AWS/Azure/GCP experience.
Docker and Kubernetes.
Spring Cloud.
React or Angular exposure.
Experience with retail applications such as Order Management, Inventory, Pricing, Product Catalog, or Point of Sale (POS).
