Our client is seeking a Java Technical Lead for a contract to hire (NO H1).
The right candidate will have a mix of Architecture(30%), Design and hands-on development(70%) skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to the product team.
The tech lead will be responsible to architect, hands on development, and mentor team of developers (back and front end), providing expert technical support and guidance as well as tech component decisions and code reviews.
In addition to being modernized technically, all apps running on the Mobile device are being re-imagined with our Business partners to provide an improved streamlined/simplified colleague experience.
Location: Ideal candidate is someone who can work hybrid (w/ flexibility) in RI – However, we are open to remote candidates.
Talk to candidates about relocation if they are out of state – All of the Team Leads on this team are in RI.
Must Haves:
· 10+ years of software development using Java/J2EE, REST, Spring frameworks (full project lifecycle) and Angular.
· Extensive experience in software design/implementation including mentoring and providing code review to team of developers.
· Solid understanding of database design using MySQL/Oracle/MariaDB.
· Experience working in Architecture/Design end to end applications (Java/Angular)
· Experienced in working in product teams using Agile/Scrum methodology.
· Ability to understand complex requirements and provide innovative solutions.
· Excellent communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with Business partners.
· Flexible and able to shift priorities as necessary to meet Business demand.
· Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with ability to follow-up through closure of all tasks assigned independently
Job responsibilities include:
· Develop applications using Java/J2EE, REST, Spring frameworks, with working knowledge of Angular front end.
· Lead and mentor technical team members throughout the product lifecycle.
· Collaborate with peer Inventory Product team Tech leads on overall tech strategy.
· Actively participate in all Agile Scrum ceremonies with Product te
· Test and maintain applications, ensuring high quality and optimization of code.
· Recommend technical improvements to existing applications
· Lead and assist support teams during maintenance and outages, including debugging and root cause analysis of production support defects as needed
· Support Deployment of software
