Overview
The ServiceNow Senior Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing the ServiceNow platform to meet the company’s business needs. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, as well as the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the system meets their requirements and enhances overall business processes.
Key Responsibilities:-
• Platform Management
• Manage the overall health, performance, and availability of the ServiceNow platform.
• Perform regular system maintenance, including managing updates and patches to ensure optimal system performance.
• Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Configuration and Customization
• Configure and customize ServiceNow modules, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, and others.
• Develop and implement custom applications, workflows, and scripts to meet business requirements.
• Maintain and update the ServiceNow configuration management database (CMDB).
• Collaboration
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that the ServiceNow platform meets their needs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow-related issues.
• Train and support end-users in the use of the ServiceNow platform.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications.
• Best Practices and Documentation
• Ensure adherence to best practices for ServiceNow configuration, development, and administration.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, configuration settings, and customizations.
• Implement and maintain security best practices within the ServiceNow platform.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ServiceNow administration and development.
• ServiceNow Administrator and Developer certifications are preferred.
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Service Catalog.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing custom applications, workflows, and scripts within ServiceNow.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
• Experience with ServiceNow integration using REST and SOAP APIs.
