About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PLM Business Analyst to lead and support end‑to‑end product lifecycle initiatives across innovation, formulation, packaging, commercialization, and regulatory workflows. This role is pivotal in enabling business teams to bring products to market efficiently by translating cross-functional requirements into scalable PLM system capabilities.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in the consumer-packaged goods or food & beverage sector and brings strong knowledge of product development processes, master data governance, and regulatory considerations. This position will partner closely with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Quality, and IT teams across North America.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for PLM initiatives across R&D, packaging, formulation, and commercialization.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and cross‑functional working sessions to capture pain points and future needs.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for technical teams.
Process Mapping & Design
- Map current‑state and future‑state product development processes to drive harmonization and standardization.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for process optimization across innovation, data management, and regulatory workflows.
- Support system configuration sessions and provide business input into solution design.
Data & System Alignment
- Define and maintain data requirements for SKU, formulation, packaging, artwork, regulatory data, and other master data objects.
- Ensure data consistency and alignment with ERP systems and downstream platforms such as quality, manufacturing, and digital commerce.
- Partner with Master Data Governance teams to drive data quality and compliance.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders (R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain) and IT teams.
- Communicate effectively across North America–based functions to ensure project alignment and delivery.
- Support project managers with status updates, risks, and mitigation planning.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of experience in CPG, food & beverage, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end CPG product development cycles, formulation workflows, packaging development, and regulatory processes.
- Hands‑on experience with PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, SAP PLM, Infor PLM, Centric PLM, or similar.
- Solid understanding of master data governance, including SKU, BOM, formulation, packaging, and regulatory data.
- Proven experience writing functional requirements, process flows, and technical specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience supporting cross‑functional teams in a North American environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and drive outcomes in matrixed organizations.
