Role Overview:
A top-tier hedge fund is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Consultant / Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the ongoing administration and enhancement of its ServiceNow platform, with a core focus on leading the design and implementation of the CMDB Workspace.
This is a senior level ServiceNow SME role that requires 100% hands on, keyboard level development. While the position carries leadership responsibility, it is not an oversight only role — the successful candidate will be deeply involved in day-to-day development, configuration, scripting, and platform optimization.
The role also requires stellar presentation and communication skills, as this individual will regularly interact with and present to C suite and senior stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. In addition, this person will serve as the technical lead for a distributed offshore ServiceNow development team, driving standards, quality, and delivery through influence rather than direct management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform day to day administration of the ServiceNow platform, including user management, access controls, and system health monitoring
• Remain fully hands on with ServiceNow development, configuration, scripting, and enhancements
• Manage and execute platform upgrades, patches, and hotfixes in alignment with ServiceNow release cycles
• Maintain and optimize workflows, business rules, UI policies, notifications, and platform integrations
• Document platform configurations, customizations, and technical decisions
• Lead the end to end design and implementation of the ServiceNow CMDB Workspace
• Define and implement CI (Configuration Item) classes, attributes, and relationships aligned with CISDM (Common Service Data Model)
• Configure and manage Discovery, Service Mapping, and third-party integrations to populate and maintain CMDB data
• Establish data quality rules, reconciliation policies, and CMDB health dashboards to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Act as the ServiceNow technical authority and SME for the firm
• Provide technical leadership and direction to an offshore ServiceNow development team
• Communicate effectively with C suite and senior leadership, presenting platform strategy, risks, and delivery status in a clear, polished manner
Required Qualifications:
• Hands on ServiceNow platform experience
• Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining a production ServiceNow instance
• Proven experience leading or implementing a CMDB within ServiceNow
• Strong understanding of ITIL concepts and best practices
• Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript, Business Rules, Script Includes)
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, IntegrationHub)
• Experience building or maintaining service catalog items and request workflows
• Hands on experience with CMDB Workspace
• Familiarity with third party CMDB data sources (e.g., Intune, Tanium, CrowdStrike Falcon)
• Ability to lead through influence and operate effectively in a high expectations financial environment
• Strong executive level communication and presentation skills
Certifications (Preferred / Required):
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CMDB or related modules preferred)
