Our client, a leading organization in the technology and enterprise solutions sector, is seeking a VMware/Server Administrator to join their dynamic team. As a VMware/Server Administrator, you will be an integral part of the Infrastructure Support Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
What’s the Job?
Provision, configure, and document enterprise Windows Server 2022 (or latest stable version) environments using templates.
Configure server VMs (CPU, RAM, storage) in accordance with current standards and application requirements.
Ensure servers are up-to-date with security patches, hardened according to best practices, and integrated into the existing vCenter environment.
Configure VMware High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) rules to optimize performance and reliability.
Build and document Web Tier (IIS) servers with necessary modules and secure HTTPS/TLS 1.3 bindings.
What’s Needed?
Proficiency in Windows, SQL, and VMware technologies.
Experience with configuring and managing enterprise Windows Server environments.
Strong understanding of security best practices, hardening processes, and patch management.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams during testing, UAT, and production phases.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with project managers and client management regarding system issues and resolutions.
