You might be looking at the price of Bitcoin and asking yourself why the price of Bitcoin is going up and down so much?
Well, in this video I’m going to try to explain to what it is that causes the price of Bitcoin to fluctuate and why different Bitcoin wallets or exchanges will price it differently.
The first thing I’m going to briefly explain is what the difference is between a Bitcoin wallet and a Bitcoin exchange. Once everyone is on the same page with that, you will hopefully have a slightly better understanding of how the price of Bitcoin is calculated.
The price of Bitcoin is not similar to how the spot price of Gold or Silver is calculated. Instead, think of the Bitcoin price more along the lines of a stock that you might see traded on the stock exchange. Bitcoin gets its value from the users that use it and the miners who mine it. Together, as a collective we control the price of Bitcoin.
