SQL Developer for a permanent role by way of contract-to-hire. This is fully remote but the client does have a beautiful, state-of-the-art office facility available to you in the Greater Philadelphia area if you’d prefer to work in-person!
Position Description:
- Act as the functional and hands-on technical developer for Medicaid, Medicare, and ACA Encounters processing systems
- Interface with business analysts, project managers, and clients to clarify and refine requirements
- Participate in technical design and solution architecture activities
- Maintain awareness of information security requirements and scalability considerations during design and development
- Provide first- and second-level troubleshooting, along with technical and operational support, with limited guidance
- Estimate effort and scope for assigned development work
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience, including:
- T-SQL development
- Query optimization and debugging
- Performance tuning (mandatory)
- 3+ years of ETL development experience, with preference for Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- 5+ years of hands-on .Net C# application development experience
- 3+ years of HealthCare payer experience (mandatory)
- 2+ years of experience with source control and CI/CD tools, including:
- Git/GitHub/GitLab or similar distributed version control system
- Jenkins or similar CI/CD platforms
- Strong understanding of EDI X12 transaction formats, including:
- 837, TA1, 999, 277U, 277CA, 835, 834
- Working knowledge of pharmacy encounter file formats, including:
- NCPDP D.0
- PAH 4.2
- Understanding of application development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), and the fundamentals of:
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with FACETS and Encounter Data Manager (EDM)
- AI-assisted coding experience
