Job title: ServiceNow ITSM/CSDM Lead

Location : Columbus, GA  local candidate (No relocation)

Duration: 2 months contract

Exp required – 10 plus years

Pay Rate – $60- $70/hr on C2C


 

Position Summary: The ITSM/CSDM Technical Specialist is a client-facing consultant and implementation lead responsible for ITSM platform modules, applications, enhancements, and integrations. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in planning, implementing, and managing end-to-end ServiceNow implementations from requirements gathering through testing to final deployment. This role requires expertise in the IT Service Management (ITSM) and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) frameworks, strong knowledge of ITIL best practices, and the ability to translate business needs into functional requirements. The specialist will also be hands-on in authoring documents and deliverables and ensuring projects meet agreed cost, timelines, and deliverables.



Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders and key personnel.
  • Conduct meetings with project sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Ensure projects adhere to timelines and deliverables, maintaining a positive team atmosphere.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

  • Use Agile/Scrum SDLC processes to gather and translate business requirements into cost-effective, sustainable technical solutions.
  • Facilitate and support development and testing phases.

ITSM and CMDB Implementation:

  • Plan, advise, and execute end-to-end implementations using ServiceNow engagement methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices for system setup, development, security, tuning, and performance.
  • Perform integrations while maintaining data security.
  • Coordinate release planning and implementations.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in ITIL processes, ITSM, ITAM, Knowledge Management, Demand Management, and Release Management modules within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Assist with platform maintenance activities, including upgrades, license management, security hardening, and defect fixes.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for ServiceNow users with reporting, dashboards, navigation, and general inquiries.

Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on development and implementation experience with ServiceNow, including ITIL processes, Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, CMDB, and CSDM design/build/deploy experience.
  • Strong background in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web Service (SOAP/REST), and SOA technologies.
  • Experience with database concepts, system management, and technology development.
  • Minimum of 8 years of technology development experience.
  • Proven experience managing projects and consulting roles successfully.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform complex problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in standard desktop tools, including Microsoft Office.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL v4 Foundation or higher.
  • ServiceNow System Administrator and Implementation Specialist certifications.
  • CSM Certification and PMP Certification.
  • Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) with a strong focus on CMDB.
  • Familiarity with Unix, Linux, Solaris, AIX, and ESX.
  • Ability to analyze discovery logs and resolve issues.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and Scrum.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.
  • ServiceNow – System Administrator Certification.
  • Experience with modules like ITBM, HRSD, and GRC.

Educational Requirements:

  • College diploma or university degree in Information Technology or a related discipline (preferred but not required).
